Special Educational Needs

At Hall Farm Nursey School we aim to follow the requirements of Early Years Foundation Stage (2017) and provide an inclusive environment for all children and families.

As a nursery, we are committed to a policy of integrating children with special educational needs. Staff are made fully aware of the special needs of the individual children and encourage them to do all the activities on offer. Additional and appropriate help will be offered when needed with regard not to undermine self-confidence and independence.

We work closely with many outside agencies and are able to obtain further support if necessary from other professionals such us portage, speech and language specialists, physiotherapists, other specialist programmes and how to access funding, should the need arise.

Hall Farm Nursery has dedicated staff with a wide range of experience and knowledge to support all the children in our care. Gayle Mitchell is our dedicated SENCO with Justine Warr being deputy.

The EYFS is our starting point for planning that meets the specific needs of all children. We set suitable learning steps and respond to children’s diverse learning needs and always promote their own unique individuality.
